RYAN GARCIA has confirmed his team is already in contact with Gervonta Davis over a potential rematch.
Garcia needed just two rounds to stop Conor Benn and successfully defend his WBC welterweight title in Las Vegas.
The win came three years after Davis handed Garcia his only defeat since 2016, stopping him in the seventh round. Garcia believes a second meeting should happen at 147lbs.
“Gervonta and Al have contacted my team. 147lb or nothing,” Garcia revealed. He also wants Davis to have a tune-up fight before they meet again.
Garcia is now considering another bout later this year before targeting a major showdown around Cinco de Mayo 2027.
Following his victory over Benn, Garcia said he wants to become one of boxing’s biggest stars and promised there is still more to show in his next fight.
