TYSON FURY’S camp is trying to move the proposed 2am start time for his huge showdown with Anthony Joshua.
The long-awaited Battle of Britain is set for December 11 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, but the planned late start has already caused concern.
Fury’s manager Spencer Brown believes 2am would be too late for British fans, arguing that supporters should be able to enjoy the fight in pubs, clubs and homes rather than staying up into the early hours.
“2am is far too late,” Brown said, confirming that discussions over the timing are still ongoing.
Eddie Hearn has also previously indicated that the fight is unlikely to start as late as 2am, with the final schedule still being worked out to balance the UK crowd and international broadcast audience.
Fury and Joshua are also due to meet face-to-face at their upcoming London press conference, with previous concerns over Joshua’s participation now resolved.
