Jake Paul books Christmas Eve showdown with kickboxing star Cedric Doumbe

JAKE PAUL will return to the ring on Christmas Eve against former kickboxing world champion Cedric Doumbe in Dubai.

The eight-round cruiserweight bout will mark Paul’s first appearance since suffering a broken jaw in his defeat to Anthony Joshua last December.

Doumbe, 34, arrives with an impressive kickboxing background, boasting 75 victories and 45 knockouts. He has also made a successful transition into MMA, including a famous nine-second knockout in Paris.

Despite having just one professional boxing fight, Doumbe believes he can finish what Joshua started.

“Jake Paul calls himself the Problem Child, but he’s never faced a problem like me,” he said.

Paul, meanwhile, warned his opponent that kickboxing experience would count for little under boxing rules.

“This isn’t kickboxing, mon ami. This is boxing,” Paul declared, predicting he would stop Doumbe in Dubai.

The pair are scheduled to hold public press conferences in Paris on November 10 and Dubai on November 12 ahead of their festive clash.
