KSI has sparked speculation about his future in boxing after emotionally admitting he may walk away from the sport. The YouTuber-turned-boxer was set to face Dillon Danis on March 29 in Manchester, but pulled out due to illness just a week before the fight.
Despite promising to reschedule the Misfits Boxing clash, no new date has been announced. Speaking on his YouTube channel, KSI opened up about the emotional toll of the cancellation. “I broke down,” he said. “I felt I let everybody down.”
KSI revealed he contracted a viral infection during training and had to take antibiotics. However, Danis mocked the withdrawal after footage surfaced showing KSI attending an Usher concert on the same night.
This marks KSI’s second consecutive cancelled pay-per-view fight, following his withdrawal from a planned two-on-one match last August. Adding to the frustration, his last fight ended in a controversial decision loss to Tommy Fury.
Asked about his future while commentating on a Ballers League live stream, KSI said, “Do I really need to fight? Is money low? Is there a fight that really needs to happen? I don’t know.”
While Danis now shifts focus to an MMA bout against Tony Ferguson in May, KSI’s next move in the ring remains uncertain.
