Tom Aspinall undergoes double eye surgery after horror poke injury

UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has undergone surgery on both eyes following a serious injury suffered in his no-contest bout with Ciryl Gane last October.

The English star was diagnosed with the rare Brown’s syndrome after receiving two severe eye pokes, which left him with limited movement and bouts of double vision. He recently shared photos from an Optegra clinic showing him undergoing treatment.

Aspinall has not yet spoken publicly about the procedure but has made it clear that his health comes first. He has previously said he will only return when his vision is fully restored.

The 32-year-old now faces a period of recovery, with a rematch against Gane expected once he is cleared to compete again.
