Lerone Murphy has spoken out after being confirmed as the main-event fighter for UFC London on March 21, where he will face undefeated featherweight Movsar Evloev.
The Manchester star knows a win could put him in line for a shot at the 145lb title, but admits nothing is guaranteed. On Instagram, Murphy said he was excited to headline on home soil and promised fans an entertaining night.
Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, he explained that title opportunities depend on performance, adding that “nothing’s concrete” in such a competitive division.
The event will also feature several British fighters, including Michael “Venom” Page against Sam Patterson, Christian Leroy Duncan versus Roman Dolidze, and Nathaniel Wood taking on Losene Keita.
