GOOD MORNING FIGHT FANS
Jake Paul has hailed his win over Ben Askren as ‘the craziest moment of my life’.
The YouTuber knocked out the MMA star in two minutes of their Triller pay-per-view headliner after a brutal one-two combination.
Speaking in his post-fight interview on Triller, he said: “I’ve been in training camp every day, I deserved that s**t.
“This is the craziest moment of my life. I told y’all I was going to do it in the first round, I told y’all I’m a real fighter.
“I don’t know how many times I’ve got to prove myself that this is for real.”
But Paul has been warned by legendary boxing coach Freddie Roach not to pursue a fight with Tommy Fury.
Roach, speaking via the BonusCodeBets.co.uk blog, said: “Jake has a good jab and he throws long punches.
“Jake is green. He is a product of good matchmaking.
“I think it’s a lot safer for Jake Paul if he sticks with exchanging words instead of punches with Tommy Fury.”
Meanwhile, Askren admitted ‘it’s f***ing embarrassing’ as he reflected on his first-round loss to Paul.
He said: “It’s probably deserved. I got knocked out by Jake Paul, it’s f***ing embarrassing.”
The former UFC star has also told Tyron Woodley to go and ‘whoop’ Paul after suffering a TKO defeat at the hands of the YouTuber.
The American said: “I would love Tyron to whoop him up.
“Tyron wants to fight Oscar De La Hoya but I would love Tyron to fight Jake Paul.
“He’s a significantly better boxer than I am so that would be my guy.”
