Shocking Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua 2 scorecards reveal one judge somehow had Brit 5-1 AHEAD after six rounds

THE shocking scorecards for Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk have been revealed.

Joshua, 32, suffered a split-decision defeat to the former undisputed cruiserweight champion in their Saudi rematch on Saturday night.

But it would’ve been a clean sweep for the undefeated Ukranian had judge Glenn Feldman not turned in an outrageous scorecard.

The American stunningly scored the fight 115-113 in favour of Joshua – giving him the first THREE rounds despite the fact he clearly lost them.

Boxing fans were quick to comment on Feldman’s crazy card, with one saying: “In what universe does he give AJ round 12? What?!”

Another said: “Feldman had Joshua up 5-1 after 6. That’s a disgrace.”

And another said: “Poor card to have AJ winning 115-113.”

One remarked: “That’s not even close to be a split decision. Don’t let him judge again please.”

Another chimed in: “Feldman must be high.”

A dazed and heartbroken Joshua went on a stunning x-rated rant after his second successive defeat to slick southpaw Usyk.

And he opened up on his fiery antics in the post-fight press conference, saying: “When you’re trying to do things from the heart and everyone is just not understanding.

“It was just from the heart. I was mad at myself. Not anyone else just myself.

“So I thought, I’ve got to get out of here because I’m mad. Like anyone, when you’re angry, you might do stupid things.

“I was mad and then I realised, ‘Oh s**t, this is sport. Let me do the right thing and come back.’

“I just spoke from my heart. It’s been so tough. You see AJ holding it together, yeah, and I’m a hustler so I try to put things together.

“Try to work hard and put things together and make sure my team’s good.

“But it comes at a cost, a big cost. It’ll never break me, but it takes real strength for it not to break me. And tonight, there’s a little crack in the armour when I took a loss.

“And I think you just saw me just upset. And with the speech, I was just speaking about where I come from. I was on the roads, really.

“And I made a transition to boxing that really changed my life and brought me closer to God and brought me closer to meeting so many people.

“And I just kind of laid it all on the line with my speech. But let’s not forget the champ Oleksandr Usyk. He put on a phenomenal performance as well. So credit to him.

“I can’t remember what I said in the ring because it was just so passionate, but I just want to say thank you to him for taking part in a great historical fight as well. It takes two to tango. I was just so upset.”

UFC champ Francis Ngannou slams Dana White for ‘ripping off’ fighters over sponsorship deals amid huge pay row

UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou has slammed the promotion for not allowing fighters to have sponsors on their shorts.

Before the promotion signed its now-defunct Reebok deal in 2014, fighters would make a pretty penny by having sponsors’ logos on their fight kits.

Ngannou, 35, entered the UFC a year after the promotion inked the £58million deal with their former kit supplier but still believes he and his colleagues are being denied an additional source of income.

The Predator said: “Fighters are ripped off with sponsorship. It’s a huge source of revenue for us but the company keeps exploiting that for their own benefit.

“I understand that the sport needs to look good with uniforms but we should at least have a right for a minimum of 2 approved sponsors for in the octagon.”

Ngannou’s sponsorship grip with the UFC came after he allegedly missed out on a £840,000 deal due to the promotion’s partnership with a cryptocurrency app.

He raged: “Last year I lost a deal of over a million dollars from a crypto exchange because the partnership with CRYPTO.COM What do I got from it?”

Ngannou raised his latest gripe with the promotion after former middleweight champion Luke Rockhold expressed his views on the UFC’s pay structure.

During the UFC 278 media day, Rockhold said: “These guys don’t know what they’re doing. They’re just letting Dana [White] run the show and suppress the sport.

‘They need to grow, this whole f***ing thing needs to grow together. Our lives are on the f***ing line.

“Health care needs to be taken care of, our f**king health needs to be taken care of. Mine has not been taken care of.

After hearing Rockhold’s rant, Ngannou said “Listening to Luke [Rockhold’s] interview was very pertinent.

“A lot of things that nobody is talking about it and the company just rolls with it.”

Ngannou is currently on the sidelines recovering from knee surgery, although his Octagon future is up in the air.

The Cameroonian-born Frenchman’s contract with UFC expires in December and talks over a bumper new deal have failed to bear fruit.

Ngannou is eager to stay with the promotion, although they have so far refused to agree to his demand for a hybrid MMA fight with Tyson Fury.

Tyson Fury’s WILL come out of retirement to fight Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk in undisputed bout, says Bob Arum

TYSON FURY will perform another retirement U-turn after Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.

The Gypsy King, 34, shelved plans for a shock comeback fight with Derek Chisora last week just TWO DAYS after announcing his return.

But promoter Bob Arum insists the Wythenshawe warrior will lace up his gloves for a blockbuster undisputed title fight with the winner of Saturday night’s Saudi showdown.

The 89-year-old told Sky Sports: “Absolutely – it’s really the only fight that makes sense for Tyson Fury.

“I’ve discussed this with my co-promoter of Fury, Frank Warren, and once this fight is over we’re going to put together a total unification match between the winner and Tyson Fury.

“Now, if Usyk wins the fight, which I expect, that will be quite easy to do because we’re very close to the Usyk people as they’re the same people who manage Vasyl Lomachenko who fights for us.

“If Joshua wins, Eddie Hearn is his promoter. We’ve talked many times with Hearn about various matches and I’m sure we’ll be able to come together on this one.”

Arum admits Fury continues to change his mind about returning to the ring on a daily basis.

The veteran promoter said: “I’ve talked with him [Fury] and every day is different, but he’s a fighter and if the right fight is there then Fury will be up for that fight.

“The right fight is the unification fight against the winner of Usyk and Joshua and I think – based on my conversations with Fury – he’ll be up for that challenge.

“How much longer he will go after that, god only knows and I’m not sure, but I’m confident at least that he’ll answer the bell for that major fight.”

Joshua win in Saudi will set up a long-awaited Battle of Britain with WBC heavyweight king Fury, although Arum doesn’t foresee AJ getting the better of slick southpaw Usyk.

He said: “I like Usyk in the fight, I think that he’s a much better boxer. Joshua can beat him if he presses the action, but Usyk has a pretty good punch .

“I don’t know if Joshua can prevail if he just trades punches with Usyk. We’ll have to see, but that’s Joshua’s only chance in my opinion.

“I like Usyk pretty big in this fight, but it’s heavyweight boxing and anything can happen.

“It’s a very interesting fight and it should be a very good fight but, all things being equal, I like the Ukrainian boy to win the fight and retain his title.”

Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2 weigh in: What time does it start and how do I watch it for FREE?

ANTHONY JOSHUA and Oleksandr Usyk finally face off this weekend in their huge rematch in Saudi Arabia.

But before fight night, the pair will tip the scales with defending champion Usyk looking to have bulked up considerably from the first fight.

Last time out, in September 2021, there was over a STONE of difference between the pair with AJ weighing in at 17st 2bs to Usyk’s 15st 8lbs.

But this time Usyk could weigh over 16st.

According to trainer Dave Coldwell, who coached Tony Bellew against the heavyweight champion, this is the wrong approach to take.

Coldwell said: “From an Usyk point of view, I get that he is going to be more aggressive and look to land bigger shots but with his mobility and speed being his two greatest assets they will take a hit.

“It’s going to slow him down, if you’re losing speed, you’re giving more options to be hit and not only that I believe that AJ really needs to focus on going to Usyk’s body to take away his legs.”

Inside UFC’s £12m Performance Institute with oxygen chambers, underwater treadmills and diet plans… and all for FREE

UFC Performance Institute

THE UFC’S Performance Institute is the £12million state of the art training facility on offer to fighters for FREE.

The Las Vegas facility launched in May 2017 and became available to use for the UFC roster at the cost of nothing.

It spans 30,000 square feet and offers several training and recovery services.

A full-scale boxing ring and MMA cage is fitted in as well as a heavy bag area and strength and conditioning area.

Fighters can help themselves to healthy snacks at the Fuelling Station, which offers protein shakes, yogurt, fruit and supplements.

Consultations are also on offer to help with advise on what to eat and how to cut weight safely.

Amazingly, there are even nap pods, fixed with relaxing music and allow for a 23-minute snooze.

It wakes you up with vibrations and sounds that become increasingly louder.

Further helping fighters recover is the therapy room, which has whole-body laser light therapy pod and a Cryosense chamber.

The adjacent room has an underwater treadmill and both hot and cold plunge tubs, commonly used for recovery.

Sauna and steam rooms are also available for use, either to help after a session or for weight cutting.

The centre also has a physio and offers a variety of options including dry needling, cupping and Pilates.

It allows UFC stars recovering from injury to do their rehabilitation at no extra cost.

Conor McGregor, 34, famously used the PI before his 2017 boxing match with Floyd Mayweather, 45, which he lost in round ten.

McGregor used the hypoxic chamber extensively in his camp.

The chamber simulates elevation up to 22,000 feet, which reduces oxygen levels to 50 per cent, making sessions twice as hard.

Not only do contracted UFC fighters use the facility, NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB athletes have also taken advantage.

And in June 2019, a second facility was opened in Shanghai, with Olympians from China used before the delayed Tokyo Games last year.

The UFC have come under fire in recent years by the likes of Jake Paul accusing them of underpaying their stable.

But England’s Darren Till pointed out how well treated UFC stars are, using the PI as an example.

He said on Ariel Helwani’s show: “I just want to give a big, big shoutout to the UFC team.

“So, this is the thing Ariel, right, that a lot of people jump on and a lot of people talk about things like fighter pay and how much Dana White and Hunter [Campbell] don’t pay the fighters.

“People seem to forget that we have a $20 million facility here and it’s open for all the fighters with food, with nutrition, with strength training, with anything you want.

“If you want to f***ing sleep there, I’m sure you could.”

I’d tell the 2012 AJ to work harder… and make sure he NEVER loses his world heavyweight crown, says Anthony Joshua

ANTHONY JOSHUA would have told his Olympic-winning self to work even harder — and make sure he did not lose his world heavyweight crown.

A decade and four days ago the Watford hulk became a national hero by winning super-heavyweight gold at the London 2012 Olympics.

It catapulted the 6ft 6in powerhouse towards three world titles and millions of pounds.

But Joshua now recognises he could have put even more graft in, especially before the points defeat to Oleksandr Usyk last September, which cost him his WBA, IBF and WBO belts.

The pair meet again in Jeddah on Saturday in what is a must-win fight for AJ.

Joshua, now 32, was asked what he would say if he could go back in time and have a word with his 22-year-old self.

He said: “I’ve got a lot of experience I could pass on.

“I would definitely say to train hard. I trained as hard as I could for the relevant task but I’ve trained harder this camp, to be honest with you.

“I’ve pushed myself harder than before. I’ve pushed myself and done things I’ve never done before in training. That’s come from losing. So at the time when I was winning, what I was doing was enough.”

AJ also admits that ten years into his career he does regret not yet meeting Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

🥊 AJ vs Usyk 2 date, live stream and TV channel for blockbuster rematch

Deals for both — to decide an undoubted heavyweight ruler — came agonisingly close, before collapsing.

Fury then won two out of three magnificent fights with the American and took No 1 spot in the division.

Joshua, with 24 wins from 26 fights, added: “I can’t say I would have changed much else.

“Maybe I would have probably had other fights. Maybe the Wilder fight, the Fury fight, but they didn’t happen.

“Other than that, everything’s been relevant for the time.

“But now looking back on it, I would pass on my knowledge to the younger, up and coming fighters. I feel like I’ve gained a lot of experience.”

Following Fury’s most recent retirement on Friday, his Ring Magazine belt is now on the line in Jeddah — alongside AJ’s old straps.

The Ring belt is seen as being held by the clear boss of each division.

But Joshua laughed: “Eddie Hearn rung and messaged me about it and I didn’t even reply. I am not even interested in the Ring Magazine belt.

“That’s where my mind is at, this is just about the fight.”

‘Everything was different’ – Anthony Joshua’s sparring partner reveals much-changed training camp for Usyk rematch

ANTHONY JOSHUA’s sparring partner Marko Milun is confident the Brit can beat Oleksandr Usyk following an intense training camp.

Joshua, 32, lost the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles last September to Usyk on home soil at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The pair will now meet in a highly anticipated rematch on Saturday in Saudi Arabia.

Joshua has made a number of chancgs in the build-up to the rematch, axing mentor Rob McCracken for Robert Garcia.

There have also been significant changes in Joshua’s training camp -changes Joshua’s sparring partner Milun, 25, says will carry him to victory.

Speaking to BoyleSports Boxing Odds, Milun said: “AJ is technically perfect, he just needs good tactics. Good tactics will win the fight.

“AJ is the best technical boxer. Everything he does is perfect; jabs, hooks, uppercuts – AJ looks perfect, If they set him good tactics he will win, easy.

“This time the whole camp is different. It’s not the same. We spar maybe 15 rounds, me and AJ, very good rounds and it was explosive. I enjoyed it.

“Not like last time – everything was different, how he treated us, it was different. Coaches are different, his training is different, from the small things to the big things.

“He is hungry now, he wants to win badly. Last time we didn’t speak so much because we were separated, he was in his hotel.

“Now we eat together, we train together, we are at the pool together, recovering in the sauna.

“We have become closer than last time – he’s a very good guy. He’s relaxed – it’s big pressure, everyone thinks it’s big pressure, but I think he will handle the pressure.

“He’s a two time world champion and Olympic champion. For him the pressure is normal.

“Everybody speaks out against him – but who cares. I think he will show in the fight a better AJ.”

Milun says Joshua needs to “bully” Usyk as he won’t be able to outbox the Ukrainian.

He continued: “I told AJ you need to bully Usyk, you can’t box him. Everybody knows that.

“Maybe Usyk will expect that – he looks heavier this time. But not heavier than AJ.

“I don’t know how he will start and finish the fight because he trained to attack and he trained defence, he trained everything – in sparring he is better than last time.

“He only lost by four rounds last time. It’s not too much.

“If he catches him in those 12 rounds with a little bit of pressure he can knock out Usyk.”

Milun has also talked up the good nature of Joshua and his team.

Joshua paid for his sparring partner to fly home to Croatia after his family were involved in a car accident earlier this week.

Milun revealed: “They (Joshua and his team) helped me on Monday.

“My family had a car accident and they booked my flight immediately for three hours back to Croatia.

“They are very friendly and they helped me with everything. I missed the last sparring because of the accident.

“I thank all the AJ team for their help. Now my family is OK, my sisters need an operation, but they are not in danger and that’s the most important thing.”

Anthony Joshua shows off hulking body ahead of Oleksandr Usyk rematch as he reveals flawed first fight plan

ANTHONY JOSHUA once again showed off his hulking body on Instagram as the days tick down to fight night.

And he revealed his shock flawed plan for the first fight against Oleksandr Usyk which backfired spectacularly.

AJ, 32, steps back into the ring on Saturday night in Jeddah for the rematch with Usyk.

He is desperate to claim back the WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world titles he surrendered with the defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in September.

And judging from his latest social media post captioned “Loco”, Joshua is ready.

He shared a photo looking absolutely shredded in his gym with his muscles bulging as he roared and stared down the camera lens.

Fans were loving what they saw and flooded the comments with support.

One said: “Beast mode activated.”

Another wrote: “We are ready to celebrate this victory.”

And a third added: “Bring this energy against Usyk.”

Joshua has given fans plenty of insight into his training schedule in Saudi Arabia with sneak peeks from inside the camp.

The British star is putting in the hard yards to do all he can to become heavyweight world champion for the third time.

And he has extra motivation following his regret over the tactics from last time as he was outclassed over 12 rounds in North London.

Joshua admitted: “It sounds crazy, but I’m not going to lie.

“My objective was never to hurt Usyk.

Conor McGregor offered UFC title shot by Kamaru Usman, who claims Irishman will NEVER be champion again

UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has offered Conor McGregor a crack at his title.

The Notorious set his sights on a shock showdown with the promotion’s 170lb king in March, much to the surprise of many.

McGregor has only fought once at welterweight, but Usman is willing to let him skip the line of contenders in the division so he can “grab that” huge cheque that comes with fighting the Irishman.

During an appearance on the I AM Athlete Podcast, he said of McGregor: “He can call me out, but that don’t mean he’s going to fight me.

“It’s not necessarily that they protect him, because he’s bigger to where he can pick, where he can call his shots. He’s that big.

“Conor can say, “I’m going to fight you tomorrow” and he’s still gonna sell one million buys. I’d absolutely grab that cheque.

“When I watch fights, I watch their hearts, and for me, he’s done, because I don’t know whether the goal was to get the money.”

McGregor, 34, has only fought seven times in the octagon in the last six years thanks to his multi-million-pound boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr and the pandemic.

And Usman believes the former two-division champion’s vast riches have put paid to his title ambitions.

The Nigerian Nightmare said: “There’s a story about him, he was broke.

“For me, it seemed like it was about not being broke, getting money. So I understand that. Now he’s not broke.

“But how are you going to be champion, because that’s what drove you to become champion, because you didn’t want to be broke? Now you’re not broke anymore.

“He’s not necessarily done, but he’s done as a champion.”

Pound-for-pound king Usman is gearing up for a rematch with Brit Leon Edwards, whom he’ll defend his title against a week on Sunday morning at UFC 278 in Salt Lake City.

McGregor, meanwhile, is currently in the final stages of recovering from the horrific broken leg he suffered in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier last July.

After reflecting on UFC 277 late last month, Mystic Mac said in a Twitter voice note: “I’m buzzing cuz I want to come back.

“Good fights like that, good fight nights like that, good cards like that, good pay-per-views inspire millions around the world.

“Thank you all so much for the entertainment and I’ll see you real soon.”

Tyson Fury in another retirement U-turn as Brit legend ‘walks away’ from boxing despite announcing return TWO DAYS ago

TYSON FURY has retired from boxing AGAIN – just days after announcing plans to return to the ring.

The Gypsy King ended his short-lived retirement – which he announced after knocking out Dillian Whyte last April – earlier this week to pursue a shock trilogy fight with Derek Chisora.

But the WBC heavyweight champion has opted against returning to the ring.

The 34-year-old wrote on Instagram: “Massive thanks to everyone who had an input in my career over the years.

“And after long, hard conversations, I’ve finally decided to walk away and on my 34th birthday.

“I say Bon Voyage.”

After paying tribute to those who have helped him throughout his career, favourite Fury then hailed doting wife Paris.

He added: “Shoutout to Paris Fury, who helped me more tha anyone.

“And most of all, thank you, God. See you all on the other side, you big dossers. 2008-2022.”

Fury’s second retirement U-turn came a mere TWO DAYS after he claimed pal and training partner Issac Lowe would coach him for a third fight with Chisora.
