Teofimo Lopez’s Dad Leaks Game Plan For Taylor Tonight: “We’re Going To Box Him”

By Sean Jones: Teofimo Lopez’s dad leaked the game plan for tonight by telling Bill Haney & the media that Teo will be boxing Josh Taylor all night and NOT looking to “kill” him like that had been talked about. Lopez Sr admitted that he “f**ked up” by having Teofimo trying to knock out his opponents recently, which was a mistake. He said that Teofimo (18-1, 13 KOs) would return to how he fought in the amateurs when boxing his opposition instead of trying to obliterate them. That was when he was at his best.

Taylor has the better stamina, so it leaves Teofimo with no choice but to box if he’s to have any shot at winning. Teofimo mostly boxed in his win over Vasyl Lomachenko, but that was against a guy fighting with just one arm due to his shoulder injury.

Taylor isn’t injured, and he’s going to be difficult to outbox. It’s likely that Lopez Sr watched the success Regis Prograis had boxing Taylor from the outside in the second half of their fight in 2019. When Prograis was going to war with Taylor in the first half of the fight, he was getting beaten up and was no match. It was only after Prograis made adjustments by fighting from long range that he found success in the later rounds.

True Geordie sends Conor McGregor fight proposal following X-rated rant and says ‘I’ll pick him up like a shopping bag’

TRUE GEORDIE has sensationally called out former featherweight and lightweight UFC champion Conor McGregor and offered to fight him for charity.

The social media beef developed over the last few days after True Geordie, 36, released a video titled: “Conor McGregor’s WORRYING Interviews…”

The YouTuber accused McGregor, 34, of having a “problem” and put together a montage of clips where the UFC star struggles to get his words out.

McGregor was quick to hit back – taking to Twitter in an expletive ridden rant where he called out True Geordie.

He said: “Mr oestrogen, what’s happening? Bitch t**s. Fat f****g bitch t**s.

“Who the f*** are you? You little burns victim-looking thing. F*** me, man, who scolded you with a kettle?

“You fat f***! You fat nobody. You little feminine p**** of a thing. I f*** p****, yeah.

“Keep my name out your mouth you stupid c***. Sick of seeing your fat, burnt face. Fat oestrogen head.

“Oh my god, you can’t understand what I’m saying, can you not pal?

“You’ve got subtitles under the f***ing thing saying exactly what I’m saying. So, what are you saying? You little fat no-name.”

True Geordie, whose real name is Brian Davis, claims McGregor then blocked him on Twitter.

Davis then took to his own podcast to challenge McGregor to a fight.

He said: “He (McGregor) is in no way ready to fight anyone, not even me.

“Mate, I’m 300 f***ing pounds and built like a rugby player. I’m the size of the guys who Floyd Mayweather and you hire to protect them when you’re walking around in public.

“I would pick Conor McGregor up like a shopping bag with one arm. He’s so small compared to me.”

“And I know his fans are going to think he’s like superman or whatever, but they’ve got weight classes for a reason, bro.

“I’m more than twice the size of this man. If you want to do a charity fight, anything, MMAboxing, I don’t really give a s**t because I’m literally a giant compared to you.”

Both personalities are no stranger to public spats.

True Geordie recently clashed with WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury – with Fury calling the podcaster a ” little t***pot, bearded, bald-headed t***er.”

And McGregor too is no stranger to a Twitter feud.

Last month he clashed with UFC veteran Matt Brown after Brown accused McGregor of having a drug and alcohol problem.

The Irishman also recently traded shots on Twitter with current UFC featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski.

McGregor has not fought in the UFC since 2021 when he lost to Dustin Poirier but plans to fight Michael Chandler later this year.

Jake Paul calls out UFC star Conor McGregor to boxing and MMA fights as part of two-bout deal

JAKE PAUL is ready fight Conor McGregor in boxing and MMA.

Paul has continued to call out McGregor since making his professional debut in 2020.

And he wants to get his hands on the Irishman in both the ring and cage after responding to social media posts about the fight.

Paul, 26, commented: “Boxing & MMA back to back. I’m down 100%.”

The YouTuber-turned boxer is 6-1 and suffered his first defeat in February, losing a split-decision to Tommy Fury, 24, in Saudi Arabia.

But he returns on August 5 in Texas against Nate Diaz, 38, who will be his fourth opponent formerly in the UFC.

Paul has beaten ex-MMA champions Ben Askren, 38, Tyron Woodley, 41, and Anderson Silva, 48, before his loss to Fury.

McGregor, 34, meanwhile lost his one and only pro boxing bout, to Floyd Mayweather, 46, in 2017.

And Paul – who is set to make his MMA debut in 2024 with the Professional Fighters League – slammed the Dubliner in an epic rant.

He said on Logan’s Impaulsive podcast: “Guess what Conor? I’d beat the f*****g f*** out of you and you can’t box as good as me.

“I’m going to do to Nate what you couldn’t which is knock him the f*** out and you’re going to be sitting there with your new beer company – that’s failing – drinking it, drunk as f***, realising that you p****d your life away drinking at the end of the bottle.

“And you’re gonna say, ‘Damn, I really thought no one was going to do what I did in this sport, I really thought no one was going to be as big of a name, I really thought I was going to be the biggest forever.’

“But you can’t choose and you can’t have both lives.”

Tyson Fury could be forced to fight Anthony Joshua in monster battle of Britain thanks to loophole, reveals WBC chief

TYSON FURY may be forced to defend his heavyweight belt against Anthony Joshua, WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman has admitted.

The Gypsy King has been out of action since defeating Derek Chisora in a Tottenham Hotspur Stadium snoozefest last December.

Since talks over an April 29 unification bout against Oleksandr Usyk fell throughFury has found himself without a fight.

With the 34-year-old still without an opponent, Sulaiman is set to order a mandatory challenger for him.

And depending on what happens with Deontay Wilder’s proposed bout with Andy Ruiz Jr – AJ could be next in line for a shot at Fury.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Sulaiman said: “We have to take some action. There are different options.

“I’m going to address this with the board of governors, because already we’re entering June and there’s no scenario.

“Tyson Fury will make us proud and show who the WBC champion is.”

Further quizzed if Joshua could be in the frame, Sulaiman admitted: “That’s a possibility. If Wilder and Ruiz are not fighting for the final elimination, Joshua’s right there at No3. That’s possible.

“I don’t want to speculate because that would be irresponsible to try to make something up.

“We have to go through a process. The WBC board of governors will make that decision.

“At this stage anything is possible.

“There’s too much talent, too many great fights, too many great combinations that could be made for heavyweight and everything is stalled.”

Joshua, 33, is third ranked WBC heavyweight contender – with Wilder No1 and Ruiz Jr No2.

The British former world champion was last in action in April, when he beat Jermaine Franklin via decision at London’s 02 Arena.

Nate Diaz casts doubt over Jake Paul fight as weed-loving UFC legend demands fight be MOVED so he can smoke up

NATE DIAZ has seemingly demanded his showdown with Jake Paul be moved – so he can keep smoking WEED.

The former UFC lightweight title challenger is set to face the YouTuber-turned-boxer in a Dallas dust-up on August 5.

Marijuana lover Diaz, however, will have to give up the devil’s lettuce in the weeks leading up to the fight or he’ll face a hefty punishment from the Texas Athletic Commission.

But after being denied a Therapeutic Use Exemption, the fan favourite is campaigning for the fight to be moved to accommodate his love of ganja.

Along with a GIF of Homer Simpson fading into a cloud of marijuana smoke, the Stockton slugger tweeted: “We gonna have to move states.”

Diaz’s legion of followers were quick to comment, with one saying: “True G.

“Moving states just so he could smoke weed be4 his fight.”

Another said: “No way weed is going to stop me from watching Nate Diaz fight are you serious?”

And another said: “Did you just find out about the Texas weed laws?”

One remarked: “I’m gonna assume the Paul-Diaz fight will not be in Texas.”

Another chimed in: “I said when it was announced there is no way this fight happens in Texas.”

Team Paul, however, are adamant they won’t move to fight to accommodate Diaz’s love of weed.

Paul’s manager – Nakisa Bidarian – tweeted through his management company: “Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz is in Dallas, Texas.

“Nothing is changing in terms of location/venue. Saturday, August 5, Paul vs. Diaz live on DAZN.”

Diaz’s clash with Paul will be his first outing since leaving the UFC last September and will mark his professional boxing debut.

Paul, meanwhile, will enter the clash on the back of a split-decision defeat in his February grudge match with Tommy Fury.

Mamed Khalidov knocks out Scott Askham with a flying kick!

Mamed Khalidov (37-8-2) knocked out Scott Askham (19-6) in the main event of XTB KSW Colosseum 2.

It was the third time they have met. In December 2019, during the KSW 52 gala, the Englishman won by judge’s decision. The rematch took place almost a year later at the KSW 55 gala. Mamed effectively knocked out his rival with a high kick in the first round, taking away his championship belt.

Khalidov started with a kick. Then the fight moved to the clinch. In it, the dominant position under the net was won by Askham. The KSW legend controlled the rival. Khalidov also landed short punches from time to time. In the very end, the former champion also hunted Khalidov’s leg trying coils.

In the second round, Mamed quickly intercepted his opponent’s kick and placed him on the ground. A Pole of Chechen descent, just like in the first round, controlled and landed short punches. He also transitioned very nicely to the side position. The player of Arrachion Olsztyn had to be careful, because the rival was looking for a coil again. Khalidov smashed the Englishman’s eyebrow with a few punches. Askham also tried a foot wrench, but the opponent did not care about it. In such a strange position, the players spent a long time. Khalidov landed some backfist strikes. At the end of the round, he knocked his opponent onto his back once more.

Askham started the third round with pressure. Later, the Brit hit his opponent with a kick to the groin. There was another hit in the groin, but this time the Arrachion representative only smiled. Immediately after that, the decisive action in this fight took place. Mamed hit with a side kick and after a while he knocked out his opponent with a flying kick. There were a few more punches on the ground that finished off the opponent.

Mark Zuckerberg Denies Losing Consciousness At Grappling Event

Zuckerberg shot down the reports that he was choked unconscious.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg put his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training to use a few weeks ago, by competing in a tournament. However, he is setting the record straight on what happened at that event.

Zuckerberg has long been a fan of mixed martial arts, going so far as to rent out the UFC Apex Center for his own personal fight card, and even training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu himself. However, he decided to take things a step further in the latter portion of those efforts, by putting his money where his mouth is and competing in a BJJ tournament, even winning some of his matches.

Mark Zuckerberg Promises He Wasn’t Out

Although Mark Zuckerberg was successful in some of his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu matches, there was a match he had that did not go his way. In fact, it even looked as if he was choked unconscious by his second foe, or at least that is what the referee overseeing the match thought.

However, Zuckerberg and his team were quick to correct the record when the New York Times posted an article about his Jiu-Jitsu escapades, saying that the match was stopped after the referee heard him snoring, a sign of an unconscious competitor. Shortly after this piece was published, Zuck and his coach Dave Camarillo both reached out to the Times to say that the referee mistook labored breathing for snores, and prematurely stopped the contest.

Whether or not Mark Zuckerberg was truly unconscious may remain a mystery, but there have been plenty of situations in which a referee thought someone was choked out when they were not. Conversely though, we have also seen scenarios in which a competitor is not aware that they were out for a brief moment, and when they come to they are convinced they stayed conscious, so this truly could be either situation unfolding.
