Shanelle Dyer has bigger ambitions than simply making a name for herself in the UFC.
The 25-year-old Londoner wants to become a strawweight champion while showing youngsters from the west London estate where she grew up that they can achieve their own dreams.
Dyer made a spectacular UFC debut at London’s O2 in March, stopping Ravena Oliveira in the second round and earning a performance bonus.
Her rise has already made her a familiar face back home, with local youngsters telling her they have taken up martial arts after watching her fight.
Dyer now faces Elise Reed at UFC Fight Night 285 as she looks to move to 2-0 in the promotion.
The former Muay Thai standout believes she can make a rapid rise through the division and is targeting a perfect 3-0 UFC record with three finishes before the end of the year.
Her ultimate goal is to break into the rankings by early 2027 — and prove to the next generation from her old neighbourhood that there are no limits to what they can achieve.
