Islam Makhachev is already targeting his next UFC appearance after extending his record-breaking winning streak.
The welterweight champion defeated Ian Machado Garry by unanimous decision at UFC 330, securing his 17th consecutive UFC victory.
Makhachev, 34, now wants to stay active and return before Ramadan, meaning he could fight again as early as January.
“I have to fight as soon as possible,” Makhachev said, pointing to his age and lack of serious injuries as reasons for wanting a quick turnaround.
The loss was a setback for Garry, but the Irishman remained confident about his future and vowed to work his way back towards another title opportunity.
For Makhachev, the focus is now on finding his next challenger and continuing one of the most impressive winning runs in UFC history.
