The MMA world is mourning the loss of UFC flyweight Allan Nascimento, who has died at the age of 34.
According to a statement released by the UFC, the Brazilian fighter suffered an apparent heart attack in his sleep and was found unresponsive on Monday morning. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The promotion paid tribute to Nascimento, describing him as a beloved member of the UFC family and offering condolences to his relatives, friends and teammates during an incredibly difficult time.

Nascimento last competed on June 20, when he faced Mitch Raposo at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Although he scored a knockdown during the contest, he lost the bout by unanimous decision.
The Brazilian made his UFC debut in 2021 and built a reputation as a skilled flyweight, earning notable victories over Jake Hadley, Carlos Hernandez, Jafel Filho and Cody Durden during his time with the promotion.
Nascimento finishes his professional MMA career with a record of 22 victories and seven defeats and will be remembered as a respected competitor inside the Octagon.
