Fabio Wardley’s heavyweight showdown with Daniel Dubois has been moved to Manchester’s £450 million Co-op Live arena after scheduling issues ruled out the O2 Arena.
Promoter Frank Warren revealed London was initially considered for the fight, along with Wardley’s hometown of Ipswich, but clashes with major concerts forced a change of plans.
The bout will now headline a major event in Manchester, with Warren insisting the matchup is one of the most exciting heavyweight clashes he has promoted in years.
Wardley puts his world title on the line against Dubois in what is expected to be a huge all-British battle between two of the division’s biggest punchers.
