Cyprus Set to Host a Serious Test for Lithuanian MMA Fighters: Panceris, Motieka, Makulavičius, and Bistrickas to Face Cypriot Opponents in the Cage

The MMA Bushido organization continues to successfully expand across Europe. This Saturday in Cyprus, at the historic Paphos Castle complex, four Lithuanian fighters will represent Lithuania at the international MMA Bushido event – Emilis Panceris, Domas Makulavičius, Lukas Motieka, and Arnoldas Bistrickas. The Lithuanian athletes face a serious challenge – matchups against experienced Greek fighters on their home turf.

One of Lithuania’s most promising young MMA fighters, Emilis Panceris, stated that his preparation camp has been extremely intense and consistent.

“Preparation has been going smoothly. After my last fight, I took a short break and immediately returned to training – I trained every day, sometimes even twice a day when I was able to balance it with my studies. I’m not judging my opponent because I know almost nothing about him, but that doesn’t put any pressure on me. I’m used to fighting anyone and adapting during the fight itself,” said E. Panceris.

The fighter also expressed his excitement about representing Lithuania at an international Bushido event.

“Bushido is my home organization, so it’s a great feeling to compete in its events abroad as well. I don’t feel any extra pressure – my goal is simple: to win, put on a technical performance, and, if possible, earn the bonus for the fastest finish of the night,” he added.

Meanwhile, Lukas Motieka is approaching the upcoming fight calmly and confidently.

“I’d say my preparation has been good. From what I’ve seen, my opponent looks physically strong and likes wrestling. I didn’t adapt my training specifically for him – I prepared the same way I always do. As for how the fight itself will unfold, we’ll see once we step into the cage,” said L. Motieka.

The fighter admitted that competing abroad comes with both advantages and challenges.

“Fighting abroad has its positives, but I also see some downsides. It’s nice to travel somewhere and spend free time exploring or visiting new places. But from a sporting perspective, traveling is exhausting, it’s harder to maintain weight during a longer trip, and you also feel the absence of your home crowd. Still, the main goal for this fight is victory,” stated L. Motieka.

The international MMA Bushido event in Cyprus will take place this Saturday, and Lithuanian fans hope that the country’s fighters will not only secure victories but also leave a strong impression on the international stage.

Fans will be able to watch the fights this Saturday from 8:00 PM via the FIGHT platform and the PRIME FIGHT TV channel.
