Dana White says the UFC’s historic White House event will finally have its headline fight revealed this week.
The promotion is planning a landmark show at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue on June 14 to coincide with President Donald Trump’s 80th birthday and America’s 250th year celebrations. Despite the event being just months away, no bouts have yet been confirmed.
White recently stated that an announcement is imminent, with former two-division champion Jon Jones now emerging as a leading candidate to headline the card.
Jones is reportedly in talks to face Alex Pereira, who recently vacated his light-heavyweight title to move up to heavyweight. The matchup would mark a major turnaround after earlier doubts about Jones competing on the event.
If finalised, the card is expected to be one of the most ambitious and expensive shows in UFC history.
