Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather’s long-rumoured exhibition fight has moved closer to reality after reports revealed a proposed date and location for the blockbuster clash.
The boxing legends are now expected to meet on April 25 in the Democratic Republic of Congo, a venue steeped in fight history following the famous “Rumble in the Jungle” in 1974.
There had been doubts about whether the bout would happen after both men were linked to other opponents, but Tyson recently insisted the fight is still on, saying there was no chance he would walk away from it.
Tyson last fought in a hugely watched event against Jake Paul in 2024, while Mayweather has continued competing in high-profile exhibitions around the world.
If confirmed, the matchup is being billed as one of the biggest spectacles in combat sports history.
