Anthony Joshua has opened up about his recovery one month after a car crash in Nigeria killed two of his closest friends, Latif “Latz” Ayodele and Sina Ghami.
In a YouTube video, the 36-year-old thanked fans for their support and admitted the past weeks have been overwhelming. He described the pair as brothers and said their loss has deeply affected him.
Joshua returned to the UK in January and has slowly resumed training to help his mental wellbeing. He says he now feels a duty to honour their memory and support their families.
The former heavyweight champion has recently shared footage of himself back in the gym, calling it “mental strength therapy” as he begins his comeback.
