Two of boxing’s biggest pound-for-pound stars will collide on Saturday, September 13, when Canelo Alvarez defends his WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF super-middleweight titles against the undefeated Terence “Bud” Crawford at Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas.
Canelo, fresh off a unanimous decision win over William Scull in May, once again holds undisputed status at 168 lbs. Meanwhile, Crawford, the reigning WBA super-welterweight champion, will move up two divisions for the historic clash. The 37-year-old southpaw hasn’t fought since August 2024, when he defeated Israil Madrimov by unanimous decision to claim the junior middleweight crown.
If successful, Crawford would become the first fighter in the four-belt era to achieve undisputed glory in three separate weight classes.
