This Saturday- Dream Boxing Series event in Ludwigshafen Germany

On May 4th, Ludwigshafen will transform into the hub of international boxing with Dream Boxing Series event. The Friedrich-Ebert-Halle will host this spectacular event, promising both high-stakes matches and a commitment to social causes, including support for the local hospice, Elias.

Main Event Showdown

The event will feature a highly anticipated bout for the IBO International title in the super welterweight class between local hero Ahmad “Pretty Boy” Ali and Hannock “No Joke” Phiri, the former Malawian African champion. Following a narrow defeat at the European Championship in 2022, a victory is crucial for Ali, who might consider retirement and a shift to coaching if unsuccessful.

European and World Title Fights

Also on the card, Piergiulio “Signor” Ruhe from Mannheim will vie for the IBF and IBO European titles against Joshua Niyanzi from Uganda, adding further international flair to the night. In the women’s division, Sarah “Babyface” Bormann will defend her IBO World Minimumweight title, showcasing the growing prominence of women’s boxing.

Junior and Newcomer Highlights

The event also shines a light on emerging talents like Max Geier, who will contest for the WBC Junior World Championship, and Daniel “TRIPLE D” Dietz, last year’s “Boxen1 Newcomer of the Year”, ready to impress in the heavyweight category.
